One Killed in Placer County Crash on Interstate 80 near Cisco Grove Wednesday evening
Placer County, California (December 15, 2021) – One person was killed in a traffic collision involving a Caltrans vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Placer County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal wreck took place on Interstate 80 near Cisco Grove at around 4:10 p.m.
CHP said a car slammed into the Caltrans vehicle on the westbound side of the interstate near Cisco Grove.
Fatal Crash in Placer County
One occupant of the car died in the crash.
The westbound lanes of Interstate 80 near Cisco Grove were blocked during the investigation. All lanes were reopened by 6:00 p.m.
No further details about the crash were given.
The accident remains under investigation.
