Pilot Hospitalized after Auburn Plane Crash on Miracle Drive near Auburn Municipal Airport

Placer County, California (December 22, 2021) – A pilot was seriously injured after a small plane crashed into the roof of a home Wednesday afternoon in Auburn, Placer County.
The crash took place at about 3:00 p.m. in the 3000 block of Miracle Drive, a few miles east of Auburn Municipal Airport.
The plane, a single-engine Cessna, crashed into the home under unclear circumstances.
The pilot, who was the plane's sole occupant, was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
There were people inside the home at the time of the crash, but they were not injured.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transporation Safety Board are investigating the accident.
