At Least 1 Killed in Pleasanton Car Crash on Interstate 580 and Interstate 680
Pleasanton, California (December 19, 2021) – Authorities are investigating an early morning fatal car collision that happened on a freeway in Pleasanton.
According to the California Highway Patrol, three vehicles collided at about 2:35 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 580 just under Interstate 680.
The vehicles collided for unknown reasons, and one of them caught fire and became fully engulfed with at least one occupant inside.
The report said at least one person was killed in the accident. It was not clear if the other involved parties were injured.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
