Officer Killed in Elk Grove Accident on Highway 99 near Sutterville Road
Elk Grove, California (January 21, 2022) – A police officer died following a traffic collision that occurred on Highway 99 in Elk Grove early Friday morning, according to the Elk Grove Police Department.
The incident happened near Sutterville Road shortly after 5:15 a.m.
The officer was riding a motorcycle southbound on Highway 99 when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

The driver who collided with the officer remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
