, California (September 14, 2022) – Princedeep Joshan, 25, was injured when a vehicle slammed into a home in Taft early Wednesday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck occurred at Old River Road and Taft Highway at about 12:30 a.m. 

CHP said a suspected drunk motorist slammed into the house and the impact caused the house to burst into flames.

Firefighters with the County Fire Station 53 quickly responded to the scene and put out the fire.

Joshan, his wife Rajwinder Joshan, 25, father Balwinder Joshan, 61, and Rohundeep Joshan, a 21-month-old, were all inside the house at the time and were injured in the incident.

They were all transported to the hospital and Rohundeep was treated for major injuries including a broken arm, fractured skull, and other internal injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, Madison , 26, was treated for minor injuries. He was then booked into the Kern County Jail on DUI charges.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
