Rajwinder Joshan Injured in Taft Car Crash on Old River Road and Taft Highway

, California (September 14, 2022) – Rajwinder Joshan, 25, was among five people hurt after an accident where a vehicle slammed into a house in Taft on Wednesday morning, according to CHP.

The incident took place at around 12:30 a.m. near Old River Road and Taft Highway.

According to CHP, Madison , 26, is suspected to have been drunk when he crashed into a house in the area.

The house burst into flames and the ceiling fell on four family members who were inside the house.

The victims, identified as Rajwinder, Princedeep Joshan, 25, Balwinder Joshan, 61, and 21-month-old Rohundeep Joshan, were all hospitalized following the crash.

Authorities said Rohundeep sustained major injuries including a broken arm, fractured skull, and other internal injuries.

Firefighters from the County Fire Station 53 were called to the scene to help extinguish the flames started by the crash.

Williams, who suffered minor injuries, was booked into the Kern County Jail on suspicion of DUI.

The CHP is investigating the incident.
