, California (August 21, 2022) – A man was killed and a woman was hospitalized after being injured in a collision involving a train early Saturday morning near in County.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened just after 2 a.m. on Avenue 424 near Road 72.

A 2007 Toyota Camry is reported to have crashed into a train that was stopped on the tracks.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as 29-year-old Raymond Garza, was killed in the crash.

A 26-year-old female passenger was injured in the accident and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

More details about the accident were not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
