Rebekah Kencke, Tyson Young Among 2 Hurt in Mendocino County Crash on Highway 101

Mendocino County, California (August 13, 2022) – Rebekah Kencke was injured in a crash between two vehicles near Dora Creek in Mendocino County on Friday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred on Highway 101 at around 7:11 p.m. on August 12.
According to the report, Tyson Young was driving a gold Toyota Tundra south on Highway 101 when he drifted across the double yellow lines and collided with an oncoming maroon Kia Sedona driven by Joe Kencke.
Young suffered major injuries and was taken to Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital for treatment.
Rebekah was a passenger in the Kia and was transported to Jerold Phelps Community Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
A minor in the Kia was transported to UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Authorities said drunk driving was suspected in the incident and Young was placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI causing injury.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
