, California (December 25, 2021) – James Harworth, 27, of Jackson was arrested following a traffic collision that injured two people in Redding on Friday evening, according to the Redding Police Department.

The incident occurred in the area of E. Avenue and Oxford Road at around 6:30 p.m. December 24, on E. Cypress Avenue and Oxford Road.

Police said Harworth was driving a 2005 silver Toyota Corolla that was involved in the crash with a 1996 white pickup driven by a Redding resident.

The truck was reportedly hauling three vehicles at the time of the collision.

Both drivers were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

Harworth was also arrested for driving under the influence.

The crash also impacted a power pole in the area but no outages were experienced.

The Redding Police Department is investigating the incident.
