8-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized after Redding Bicycle Accident on Mistletoe Lane near Mistletoe Elementary School
Redding, California (November 16, 2021) – An 8-year-old girl was injured after being struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle Tuesday morning in Redding, according to Redding police.
The incident was reported to the police at around 7:48 a.m. on Mistletoe Lane near the Mistletoe Elementary School.
Authorities said a Dodge truck, driven by a 47-year-old Redding woman, was exiting the elementary school's parking lot while the 8-year-old girl was riding her bicycle against traffic on Mistletoe Lane.
The girl reportedly rode onto the roadway, directly into the truck's path, which then struck her.

The girl was transported to Mercy Medical with minor injuries. Her current condition was not available.
The crash remains under investigation.
