52-Year-Old Reseda Man Killed, 38-Year-Old North Hollywood Man Injured in North Hills Crash on 405 Freeway near Nordhoff Street Off-Ramp

North Hills, California (February 20, 2022) – A 52-year-old Reseda man was killed in a Saturday morning traffic accident that left a 38-year-old North Hollywood man injured in North Hills, authorities said.
The deadly multi-vehicle accident occurred at about 10:10 a.m. on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway at the Nordhoff Street off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 1997 Toyota pickup, driven by the Reseda man in the No. 3 lane, collided with a 2013 Chevrolet work van, operated by the 38-year-old North Hollywood man.
The Chevrolet was reportedly slowing due to stopped traffic ahead.
Man Killed in 405 Freeway Crash
Sadly, the Reseda man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van sustained minor injuries in the accident. He was not taken to a hospital.
The Nordhoff Street off-ramp and lanes 2, 3, and 4 lanes of the northbound 405 Freeway were closed for about three hours due to the accident.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
