Richard Carpentier Killed in Motorcycle Collision on Montezuma Valley Road in Borrego Springs

Borrego Springs, California ( March 29, 2022) – 65-year-old  Richard Arthur Carpentier, of British Columbia, has been identified as a motorcyclist who died in a collision in Borrego Springs on Friday morning.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened at around 11:09 a.m. on westbound Montezuma Valley Road.

Carpentier was traveling westbound when he crossed into the eastbound lane at a curve and crashed into a pickup that was towing a trailer.

Carpentier was ejected from his bike and was pronounced dead at the scene.

More details regarding the incident were not provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
