Richard Merced ID'd as Motorcyclist Killed in Claremont Crash on Foothill (210) Freeway at Baseline Road Off-Ramp

Claremont, California (October 17, 2021) – The Los Angeles County Coroner's Bureau has identified the motorcyclist who died in a Friday afternoon crash in Claremont as Richard Merced, 28, of Upland.
At around 4:18 p.m. Friday, October 15, authorities responded to reports of a collision between a Lexus and a motorcycle on the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway at the Baseline Road off-ramp.

Merced, who was riding the motorcycle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
One other party was evaluated at the scene by the paramedics.
Three eastbound lanes of the freeway were closed for over two hours for the investigation.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
