Minor Injuries Sustained in Richmond Car Crash on Interstate 80 near Potrero Avenue On-Ramp
Richmond, California (October 14, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a multi-car accident that happened Thursday morning on a freeway in Richmond.
The wreck involved four vehicles, including one that overturned.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 9:25 a.m. on westbound Interstate 80 Freeway, near the Potrero Avenue on-ramp.
A minivan involved in the accident overturned onto its side, blocking the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help those involved in the accident.
An unspecified number of parties were evaluated and treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The Nos. 1 and 2 lanes remained closed following the crash until at 10:08 a.m., when they were reopened.
