, California (October 8, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a multi-car pileup that occurred Thursday evening in Richmond, resulting in minor injuries.

According to the California Highway Patrol, three vehicles collided just before 7:00 p.m. on eastbound at the Carlson Boulevard off-ramp.

The vehicles were blocking the No. 5 lane after the collision.

Richmond firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.

An unknown number of parties who sustained minor injuries were helped by the responding paramedics.

At least one of the cars was towed away with major rear-end damage.

CHP is investigating the incident.
