The CHP said a 41-year-old man was riding a mobility scooter eastbound on Service Road when he was hit from behind by a 2007 Toyota

Ceres, Calif. – A scooter rider was hit and killed by a vehicle in Ceres on Tuesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Service Road east of Esmar Road at about 11:40 p.m. March 12.
The CHP said a 41-year-old man was riding a mobility scooter eastbound on Service Road when he was hit from behind by a 2007 Toyota.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver, Kayla Espinoza, 20, was arrested on suspicion of DUI following the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
