The deadly incident happened at about 2:35 p.m. on Whitmore Road near Cow Creek Ranch Road and involved a 2004 black Honda Civic and a 1999 black Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Millville, CA – One person is dead and another injured following a two-vehicle crash on Whitmore Road near Millville Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly incident happened at about 2:35 p.m. on Whitmore Road near Cow Creek Ranch Road and involved a 2004 black Honda Civic and a 1999 black Harley Davidson motorcycle.
CHP said Pamela Sutton, 50, of Whitmore was driving the Honda Civic westbound on Whitmore and was going at 55-60 MPH.
Investigators said Sutton, for some reason, let her vehicle drift to the south, crossed the broken yellow lines into the eastbound lane, and collided with the motorcycle.
Upon the impact, the occupants of the motorcycle were ejected.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 45-year-old male from Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 41-year-old woman from Palo Cedro, was airlifted by to Mercy Medical Center, Redding with major injuries.
The Harley and Honda collided in the eastbound lane, ejecting both occupants from the Harley onto the south shoulder, CHP said. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation and police said neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor in the incident.
