Lawndale, CA – One person was seriously injured following a traffic collision on Interstate 405 in Lawndale Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at about 2:50 p.m. on northbound Interstate 405, just south of Redondo Beach Boulevard.
According to CHP, a blue BMW and a motorcycle were involved in the collision.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and found the rider down in the HOV lane and unconscious.
The CHP said the river suffered possible major injuries.
No additional details are available.
The crash is under investigation.
