Two-Vehicle Car Crash on 215 Freeway near Columbia Avenue in Riverside Sends 1 to Hospital
Riverside, California (October 20, 2021) – One person is recuperating after suffering severe injuries in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Tuesday night in Riverside.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident transpired at around 8:49 p.m. on southbound 215 Freeway near Columbia Avenue.
Authorities responding to the scene found a 4-door sedan flipped over onto its roof after it had collided with another vehicle.
Several vehicles were stopped behind the overturned sedan with their hazard lights on.
As per the report, one party who sustained major injuries was transported to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment.
The crash left about 50 feet of guardrail damaged.
The Nos. 3, 4, and transition road to westbound Highway 60 remained closed following the accident.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
