Robert Colarossi Dies in Beaumont Car Accident on Interstate 10 near Highland Springs Avenue
Beaumont, California (August 17, 2022) – Robert Colarossi, 51, of Banning, has been identified as the person who was killed in a collision that took place on Tuesday morning in Beaumont, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened at around 6:23 a.m. August 16, on westbound Interstate 10, just east of Highland Springs Avenue.
According to CHP, a Jeep Compass was traveling westbound in the No. 2 lane on westbound I-10 when the vehicle lost power. The driver stopped the vehicle on the third lane and activated the vehicle's four-way flashers, then go out with her child.
Shortly after, the Jeep was struck from behind by a Kia Forte driven by Colarossi.
Authorities said Colarossi died following the collision.
The CHP is investigating the incident.

Beaumont, California (August 16, 2022) – One person was killed in a rear-end collision that occurred Tuesday morning in Beaumont, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on westbound Interstate 10, just east of Highland Springs Avenue at around 6:23 a.m.
CHP said a white Jeep Compass was stopped in the slow lane when it was struck from behind by a maroon-colored Kia sedan.
One of the drivers was killed in the collision.
The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.
The CHP is working to determine the cause of the incident.
