Robert Ramirez, Joaquin Hendrickson Hospitalized after Susanville Head-On Crash on Highway 32 near Chester
Susanville, California (November 10, 2021) – Robert Ramirez, 24, and Joaquin Hendrickson, 23, both of Woodland, were injured in a crash that also left two other people dead Tuesday afternoon in Susanville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at around 2:29 p.m. Tuesday, November 9 on Highway 32, just west of Chester.
A Ford F150 was heading westbound on Highway 32 at an unspecified speed when, for undetermined reasons, the Ford F150 drifted across the center median and entered the eastbound lane, the CHP said.
The Ford F150 then collided head-on with a Ram 3500 that was traveling eastbound on Highway 32 at a posted speed of 45-50 miles per hour.
As a result of the collision, the Ford F150 veered off the road, rolled down an embankment and caught fire.

A passerby was trying to free the two occupants from the burning car before emergency personnel arrived. Sadly, the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Ramirez and his passenger, Hendrickson, were taken to Enloe Medical Center in Chico with moderate to major injuries.
