21-Month-Old Rohundeep Joshan Seriously Injured in Taft Car Crash on Old River Road and Taft Highway

Taft, California (September 14, 2022) – 21-Month-Old Rohundeep Joshan was seriously injured when a suspected DUI driver slammed into a house early Wednesday morning in Taft, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at about 12:30 a.m. near Old River Road and Taft Highway.
CHP said 26-year-old Madison Williams crashed into a house off the highway for unknown reasons and the impact caused the house to catch fire.
The County Fire Station 53 went to the site of the incident and quickly put out the flames.
Four family members, including Rohundeep Joshan, were injured when the ceiling fell on them.
Rohundeep's injuries were major and included a broken arm, a fractured skull, and other internal injuries.
Williams also sustained minor injuries in the incident and was booked into the Kern County Jail for DUI. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
