1 Suffers Major Injuries in Sacramento Car Accident on Highway 99 near Interstate 5

Sacramento, California (December 7, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol officers, firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene of a major injury accident that happened Monday afternoon in Sacramento.
The incident was reported at about 4:45 p.m. on southbound Highway 99, just north of Interstate 5.
The responders found two full-sized pickup trucks and a possible third car, a silver Honda Pilot, involved in the accident.
One party was trapped inside one of the trucks.
One person who sustained major injuries in the crash was transported to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.
Southbound traffic lanes were closed for about an hour following the incident.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
