Minor Injuries Sustained in Sacramento Car Accident on Interstate 80 near Norwood Avenue Off-Ramp
Sacramento, California (February 8, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle collision that took place Tuesday morning in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol said the collision happened just before noon on eastbound Interstate 80, just west of the Norwood Avenue off-ramp.
A gray Volkswagen SUV and a small red SUV collided for unknown reasons. The vehicles were blocking the slow lane after the accident, and airbags were deployed in the Volkswagen.
Sacramento firefighters responded to the scene and closed the slow lane.
The report said the crash resulted in minor injuries. It was not clear if anyone was hospitalized.
Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
