1 Seriously Injured in Sacramento Crash on Interstate 80 near Truxel Road
Sacramento, California (August 29, 2021) – One person was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a traffic collision in the South Natomas neighborhood in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported just before 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 27, on Interstate 80, just west of Truxel Road.
The CHP said a black Nissan SUV, a black Tesla, a white Kia Soul, and a red Ford F-150 pickup truck collided for unknown reasons on the westbound side of Interstate 80.
As a result of the collision, the Nissan sustained major front-end damage while the Tesla and the Kia had major front-end and rear damage.

One person was taken to a hospital with major injuries. The name of the patient and their condition were not immediately disclosed.
The westbound lanes of the Interstate 80 were closed due to the crash.
No other details were immediately released.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
