1 Hospitalized after Herald Car Crash on Highway 104 at Alta Mesa Road
Sacramento County, California (February 9, 2022) – One person was sent to the hospital with severe injuries after a crash that happened Wednesday morning at an intersection in Herald, a census-designated place in Sacramento County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at about 6:05 a.m. on Highway 104, also known as Twin Cities Road, at Alta Mesa Road.
A tan Buick Century collided with a semi-truck under unclear circumstances. The vehicles were blocking the westbound lanes of Twin Cities Road after the crash.
Firefighters responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports about the crash and transported one person who suffered major injuries to Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
