2 Hospitalized after Highway 101 Accident

Salinas, California (January 26, 2022) – Two people were hospitalized Tuesday evening following a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Salinas, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred just after 6:00 p.m. on January 25 in the area of Highway 101 and Spence Road.
A green Kia collided with a white Mazda on the northbound side of Highway 101 at Spence Road, the CHP reported.

Authorities said two patients were transported to the Natividad Medical Center with minor injuries. The identities of the victims and their condition were not immediately available.
The intersection of Highway 101 and Spence Road was shut down following the wreck.
The crash remains under investigation.
