At Least 1 Killed in 40 Freeway Crash in San Bernardino County

San Bernardino County, California (December 22, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a fiery crash that happened early Wednesday morning in San Bernardino County, leaving at least one person dead.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at around 1:04 a.m. on eastbound 40 Freeway, also known as Needles Freeway.
A semi-truck and a pickup truck were involved in the accident.
Both vehicles and the semi's trailer caught fire and became fully engulfed.
First responders found the pickup truck in the No. 2 lane and the semi on the right-hand shoulder.
The report said at least one person was killed in the crash, and at least one other suffered unspecified injuries.
