1 Suffers Major Injuries in San Diego Car Accident on Highway 163 near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard

San Diego, California (November 25, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a car crash that severely injured one person Wednesday morning in San Diego, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at about 8:27 a.m. on southbound Highway 163, near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.
CHP said a white 2016 Ford F-250 slammed into a white Lexus RX under unclear circumstances. Both vehicles ended up on the right-hand shoulder after the impact.
The vehicles also crashed into 3 posts and 40 feet of a chain-link perimeter fence.
Emergency crews responding to the scene found one person with severe injuries. An ambulance was sent to the scene to take the patient to the hospital.
Police officers are working to determine the cause of the accident.
