Rider Injured in Saturday Night San Diego Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 5 near Washington Street

San Diego, California (September 26, 2021) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a San Diego motorcycle crash that happened Saturday night on Interstate 5 left the rider with major injuries.
Police and firefighters responded to the scene in the southbound lanes near Washington Street in San Diego's Mission Hills neighborhood, where a motorcycle had collided with an early 2000s silver Honda 4-door sedan at around 11:38 p.m.
The motorcycle rider was down in the center divider after the accident.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to offer medical aid to the rider who sustained major injuries in the collision.
The Honda sedan was towed away with crash damage to both sides.
CHP officers are investigating to determine the cause of the wreck.
