At Least 1 Injured in San Francisco Crash on Interstate 80 Freeway at Yerba Buena Island Tunnel
San Francisco, California (December 16, 2021) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision that happened in San Francisco on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on Interstate 80 Freeway at the Yerba Buena Island Tunnel at around 5:38 a.m.
CHP said a Toyota Sienna collided with a white Chevrolet Tahoe and a gray Toyota Tundra on the westbound side of Interstate 80.

One person in the pickup truck sustained minor injuries.
Shortly after the initial collision, two other vehicles collided in the area. One person was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with complaint of back and neck pain.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
