41-Year-Old San Francisco Woman Killed, Several Injured in Belmont Crash on U.S. Highway 101 at Ralston Avenue Thanksgiving morning

Belmont, California (November 25, 2021) – A 41-year-old San Francisco woman was killed and several other people were injured early Thursday morning in a multi-vehicle collision in Belmont, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash, involving four vehicles, occurred at around 3:00 a.m. on U.S. Highway 101 at Ralston Avenue.
CHP said the San Francisco woman was driving a green 1991 Honda Accord on U.S. Highway 101 when she was possibly involved in a hit-and-run accident.
Following the collision, the Honda blocked the highway, triggering a chain reaction collision that involved a red 2019 Honda Clarity, driven by a 57-year-old Fremont man, a 2019 Mercedes Benz, driven by a 25-year-old San Francisco man, and a 2013 Toyota Prius, driven by a 54-year-old Menlo Park woman.
Deadly Car Crash in Belmont
Despite life-saving measures performed by bystanders, the San Francisco woman did survive her injuries and she succumbed to her injuries. Her name has not been released pending the notification of her relatives.
The other motorists were taken to various hospitals with minor injuries.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The collision remains under investigation.
