At Least 1 Killed in San Jose Car Accident on Highway 101 near McKee Road Off-Ramp
San Jose, California (December 10, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal car crash that happened Thursday morning in San Jose.
The accident was reported at about 9:31 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 near the McKee Road off-ramp.
Authorities said they received a call from a witness reporting that a brown Toyota Camry that was recklessly driving and swerving in and out of traffic lanes lost control and slammed into a brown van. The van was pushed into a ditch by the force.
The Toyota acquired front-end damage, and its right-front tire blew out.
As per the report, a person in the van was injured, and at least one person died in the accident. A representative from the Santa Clara County coroner's office was requested to respond to the scene following the fatal crash.
The cause of the accident will be determined when authorities conclude the investigation.
