San Jose, CA: Fatal Car Crash on Highway 101 near McKee Road Off-Ramp

, California (December 10, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a car crash that happened Thursday morning in San Jose.

The accident was reported at about 9:31 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 near the McKee Road off-ramp.

Authorities said they received a call from a witness reporting that a brown Toyota Camry that was recklessly driving and swerving in and out of traffic lanes lost control and slammed into a brown . The van was pushed into a ditch by the force.

The Toyota acquired front-end damage, and its right-front tire blew out.

As per the report, a person in the van was injured, and at least one person died in the accident. A representative from the coroner's office was requested to respond to the scene following the fatal crash.

The cause of the accident will be determined when authorities conclude the investigation.
