At Least 1 Hospitalized after San Jose Car Accident on Highway 87 near Capitol Expressway Off-Ramp
San Jose, California (December 8, 2021) – At least one person sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck was reported at about 3:51 p.m. on northbound Highway 87, near the Capitol Expressway off-ramp.
As per the report, a blue Toyota Prius that was allegedly recklessly driving crossed from the No. 1 lane to the slow lane and collided with a white Nissan NV200 van.
San Jose firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports about the crash.
The responders found at least one person with severe injuries. The patient was hospitalized in an unknown condition.
Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
CHP is investigating the incident.
