San Jose, CA. –A 22-year-old man was killed after a car crashed into a big rig on Highway 101 in San Jose Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash happened at about 11:17 a.m. Friday, May 24 on the southbound near Blossom Hill Road.

According to the CHP, a Honda, operated by a 22-year-old San Jose Man, entered Highway 101 from Blossom Hill Road and traveled north in the southbound lanes before colliding with a big-rig.

The 22-year-old driver was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene. His name was not released pending next of kin notification.

The driver of the big rig, a 43-year-old, was not injured. CHP says diesel fuel from the big rig was spilled on the roadway.

The crash remains under investigation.
