37-Year-Old Rider Killed in San Leandro Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 580 Freeway near 150th Avenue

San Leandro, California (February 25, 2022) – A 37-year-old motorcyclist from Modesto was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that happened in San Leandro on Friday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on Interstate 580 Freeway near 150th Avenue at around 1:18 p.m.
According to the CHP, several vehicles including a Nissan Murano SUV and a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided on the roadway.
The 37-year-old motorcyclist and passenger reportedly entered the highway from the Grand Avenue on-ramp colliding with the Nissan. the Nissan was stopped in traffic in the roadway's right-hand lane at the time.

Sadly, the 37-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, where they succumbed to their injuries.
The passenger sustained major injuries and was also taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley for treatment.
