One Person Injured in Santa Barbara Crash Monday afternoon on Highway 101 near Mission Street

Santa Barbara, California (December 2, 2021) – One person was sent to a hospital Monday afternoon after a four-car crash in Santa Barbara, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred at around 4:34 p.m. Monday, November 29, on the southbound side of Highway 101, just south of Mission Street.
According to the CHP, a blue Toyota Matrix, a Toyota SUV, a Ford compact car and a fourth vehicle collided in the southbound lanes of the highway.
As a result of the collision, the Toyota SUV sustained rear-end damage, the Ford acquired front-end damage, and the Matrix had front-end and rear-end damage.

One person, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was taken by emergency responders was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities temporarily closed the southbound lanes of Highway 101 near Mission Street as they investigated the crash.
