3 Injured in Santa Barbara Crash on San Marcos Pass Road (State Route 154) near Lake Cachuma
Santa Barbara, California (March 8, 2022) – Three people were sent to a hospital following a head-on collision Monday afternoon in Santa Barbara, authorities said.
The crash, involving two vehicles, happened at around 1:48 p.m. Monday, March 7, on the westbound side of State Route 154, just west of Lake Cachuma. State Route 154 is also known as San Marcos Pass Road.
According to the authorities, a white BMW collided with a gold Lexus in front of the entrance to the Cahcuma Lake Campground.
Major Injury Crash in Santa Barbara
Two people sustained major injuries and the third victim had moderate injuries. One of them was airlifted to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, while the other two were taken by ground ambulance to the same hospital.
The identities of the victims and their current condition were not available.
