At Least 5 Injured in Carpinteria Crash on Highway 101 near Linden Avenue

Carpinteria, California (February 10, 2022) – At least five people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in County on Thursday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The incident took place on Highway 101, north of Linden Avenue just before 11 a.m.

Three vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of the highway while eight vehicles collided in the southbound lanes.

A diesel pill was cleared from the northbound lanes after it got spilled from a big rig.

At least five people sustained minor injuries.

It's unclear whether the victims were treated at the scene or were transported to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities closed all lanes of the highway for the investigation.
