At Least 1 Killed in Santa Clara Crash on State Route 237 near Great America Parkway Off-Ramp
Santa Clara, California (October 18, 2021) – At least one person died in a multi-vehicle pileup that transpired Sunday night in Santa Clara, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Four vehicles collided at around 10:41 p.m. on eastbound State Route 237 near the Great America Parkway off-ramp.
The vehicles were blocking traffic lanes after the collision.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports about the accident.
The firefighters blocked the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes of eastbound SR-237.
CHP said at least one person died in the accident. No further details were given about the deceased.
It also remained unclear if there was any other party who was injured.
Four tow trucks were requested to help clear the scene.
CHP is investigating the wreck.
