Bicyclist Killed in Santa Clara Accident on Laurelwood Road
Santa Clara, California (May 8, 2022) – One person was killed in a bicycle collision in Santa Clara on Thursday morning, according to a local news source.
The incident took place in the 1500 block of Laurelwood Road just after 9:25 a.m. on May 5.
According to the report, a 72-year-old man was riding a bike eastbound on Laurelwood Road when, for unknown reasons, he fell off the bike.
The rider was struck by a 2006 Toyota Prius that was entering the roadway from a parking lot.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and attended to the rider.

The bicyclist was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. He was only identified as a 72-year-old San Jose man.
