Female Bicyclist Killed in Santa Clara County Crash on Mines Road at San Antonio Valley Road
Santa Clara County, California (February 7, 2022) – A woman was killed in a Sunday afternoon bicycle accident in Santa Clara County, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about 2:30 p.m., on February 6, on Mines Road at San Antonio Valley Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the female cyclist was headed northbound on Mines Road when it collided with a southbound 2010 Land Rover.
Both the cyclist and the SUV reportedly approached a curve in the roadway, crossed the double yellow lines, and crashed head-on.

Sadly, the female cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
