At Least 1 Injured in Santa Cruz County Collision on Highway 1 near Mar Monte Avenue
Santa Cruz County, California (March 10, 2022) – Major injuries were reported in a collision involving a motorcyclist on Highway 1 in Santa Cruz on Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
The incident took place on Highway 1 near Mar Monte Avenue just before 7:23 a.m. March 9.
A Toyota Camry and a motorcycle collided on the northbound side of Highway 1 for unknown reasons.

The rider was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.
The northbound lanes of Highway 1 were closed for the investigation.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
