Injuries Reported in Santa Margarita Crash on Highway 101 near Santa Barbara Road
Santa Margarita, California (April 16, 2022) – A Santa Margarita car accident occurred on Highway 101 near Santa Barbara Road on Saturday evening, according to California Highway Patrol.
At least two vehicles were involved in the collision at about 8 p.m.
It's unclear what caused the accident.
CHP said smoke was seen coming from some of the vehicles.

Two parties were found laying on the side of the road following the crash.
Details on the number of people injured and the extent of their injuries were not immediately released.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
