Woman Suffers Traumatic Injuries in Santa Maria Crash on East Alvin Avenue
Santa Maria, California (February 2, 2022) – A woman was airlifted to the hospital after a head-on collision that happened Tuesday night in Santa Maria, as per a local news source.
The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. on East Alvin Avenue, between College Drive and Miller Street.
A pickup truck and a small sedan were involved in the crash.
Santa Maria police and firefighters, and the American Medical Response responded to the scene.
The female driver of the sedan sustained major injuries. The patient was transported by a ground ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center, from where she was airlifted by a CalStar medical helicopter to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
