According to the authorities, the accident happened at West Steele Lane just before 11:07 a.m.
A SMART train collided with a minivan on the train tracks under unclear circumstances.

Authorities said one person was extricated by firefighters after being trapped in the minivan.
The extricated patient was transported by AMR ambulance to a hospital for treatment.
