, California (August 30, 2021) – A 2-year-old kid was injured in a Sebastopol car crash that happened Monday morning involving two cars, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The head-on collision took place at around 9:51 a.m. on Highway 116, also known as Gravenstein Highway, near Daywalt Road.

A gray Honda Accord collided with another unknown vehicle under unclear circumstances.

The vehicles were blocking the eastbound traffic lane.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help those involved.

A 2-year-old child involved in the crash suffered a contusion to the head and abrasion to the neck. The kid was hospitalized in an unknown condition.

The report said the driver of the car that the child occupied was suspected of DUI but did not give more details.

The Honda Accord acquired major front-end damage.

All lanes of the highway remained closed for an unknown period following the accident.
