At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Oakland Car Crash on Interstate 880 near 29th Street Off-Ramp
Oakland, California (May 20, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a major injury Oakland car crash that happened Thursday night on Interstate 880.
Four vehicles collided at around 11:38 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway just south of the 29th Street off-ramp.
Firefighters responded to the scene and closed the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes.
At least one person sustained major injuries in the accident. The person was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
Debris from the crash was scattered in some traffic lanes.
No other details were available.
