Several Injured in Oakland Bus Accident at 10th and Market Streets
Oakland, California (October 15, 2021) – A driver in a stolen vehicle collided with an AC Transit bus, injuring several people on Friday afternoon in Oakland, according to the CHP.
The incident happened shortly after 2:05 p.m. in the area of 10th and Market streets.
The CHP were pursuing a stolen Toyota westbound on Highway 24 when the Toyota moved towards I-980 and exited at 27th Street.
The Toyota was being driven recklessly and it collided with the bus in the area of 10th and Market streets. The impact pushed the bus off the roadway and it slammed into a residential building.

The bus was carrying four people, all of which suffered minor injuries.
The four occupants of the Toyota were hospitalized with moderate to major injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was arrested following the accident. Authorities recovered weapons from the Toyota which are believed to have been stolen from Berkeley.
The incident is under investigation.
