Indio, CA. – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Indio Sunday evening, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The traffic collision happened at around 7:24 p.m. at Fred Waring Drive and Clinton Street.
Responding crews located four vehicles at the intersection, but the events leading up to the wreck were not immediately examined.
Seven people were injured. Three of them were seriously injured and four of them suffered minor injuries.
They were all transported to a hospital for treatment.
Fred Waring Drive was closed west of Clinton Street during the on-scene investigation.
The identities of the victims were not immediately released.
No additional details regarding the collision was provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
